Job Summary

Illinois State University’s University High School seeks a qualified and motivated Engineering and Agriculture Teacher to join our academic faculty. University High School, serving approximately 625 students in grades 9–12, is a laboratory school of the College of Education that integrates educational theory with practice to foster innovation and excellence in secondary education. The successful candidate will teach a range of engineering and agriculture-related courses and may also contribute to extracurricular or co-curricular programs.

Salary Range

$42,418 – $83,020
(Based on education and years of service)

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree

  2. Type 09 Teaching License or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree

  2. Minimum of 3 years teaching experience

  3. Experience or demonstrated interest in research, publication, or professional development

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday during school hours

  • Occasional after-hours commitments for school-related activities

Functional Expectations

  • Daily effective communication

  • Regular computer and digital tool use

  • Attendance at on/off-campus meetings

  • Sustained concentration in teaching and administrative duties
